Cancel Blasphemous Corpus Christi Play

Our Lord is being mocked with the late Terrence McNally’s blasphemous play Corpus Christi, which portrays Christ and the Apostles as homosexuals! This blasphemous play will be showing at Aurora, Colorado, at the venue “The People’s Building” beginning March 31 to April 15.

According to press reports Corpus Christi is a twisted retelling of the Gospel narrative into a homosexual story. It centers around a homosexual “Christ-like” figure who has homosexual relations with his Apostles! The play is full of disgusting and false portrayals of Our Lord’s character. For example:

  • Joshua (i.e. “Jesus”) is depicted passionately kissing the “Apostles.”
  • He also “marries” two homosexual “apostles” after which the “couple” kiss to seal the covenant.
  • He viciously strikes a female character.
  • Our Lord’s “love” and “compassion” are warped to refer to approval of unnatural vice

The New York Post reported that Corpus Christi uses Gospel passages in a contrived way.  For example, McNally’s Pontius Pilate asks Joshua (“Jesus”): ” ‘Art Thou King of the queers? [i.e., homosexuals]’ ‘Thou sayest [i.e. yes],’ Joshua answers.” And these are just a few of many, many more such abuses.

To show Our Lord and His apostles as homosexuals is an abomination that must not go unanswered. Now is the time for us to defend Jesus’ honor by peacefully and prayerfully raising our voices against this outrageous blasphemy.

The People's Building,
Aaron Vega (curator of The People's Building),

I vehemently protest against the production of the blasphemous play Corpus Christi, which depicts Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostles as homosexuals.

The Person of Jesus Christ is Sacred and untouchable. To portray Him taking part in homosexual sin is an unspeakable blasphemy which I reject with all my soul.

I ask you to immediately cancel this production and to offer a public apology to all God fearing Americans for defaming the Name of Our Lord.

Sincerely, and urgently,
