Nearly 200 supporters, friends and members of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) gathered on October 28-30 in Spring Grove, Penn. to discuss the theme “Preparing for the Centennial and America’s Fatima Future.”
As part of the discussion, author John Horvat presented two talks based on considerations from his book, Return to Order: From a Frenzied Economy to an Organic Christian Society—Where We’ve Been, How We Got Here, and Where We Need to Go.
His first talk was titled “What Will America’s Fatima Future Be Like?” The author showed how conservatives often know what they don’t want – abortion, socialism or transgenderism, for example. In the intense fight against these issues, they often neglect to make clear to themselves what they do want. Mr. Horvat gave his impression of the kind of a society that Americans should want based on the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary foreseen at Fatima.

A second talk dealt with the practical means by which America’s Fatima future might be obtained. Based on parts of Return to Order, this presentation highlighted organic solutions that often produce results beyond expectations. It also explained the role of grace in making this future happen.
The American TFP’s National Conference unites activists from all over the country to discuss themes of great importance in an atmosphere of conviviality, resolution and prayer. This year’s guest of honor was Prince Bertrand of Orleans-Braganza from Brazil who specially mentioned Return to Order in his final remarks.
